We are delighted to announce our 6th year of Clean Air Week for 2024.
The CAW crew have some facts, figures and fun activities prepared for you as well as some competitions we hope you’ll get involved in to help promote Clean Air in your schools and communities.
No Idling
We would like a big focus on Engine Idling this year and hope you will help us by conducting a No Idling Survey outside your school this week using our handy survey sheet. You can send your results into us here to be in with a chance for a prize.
We also have a great No Idling Toolkit if you would like to kickstart a campaign in your school this week too. There are activities for everyone in the school to get involved in.
We have some Simple Ways To Clean Air (click here for the Irish version!) which you can promote and share and some
Clean Air Science Facts too.
You can also check out what the Air Quality is like in your area by looking up the
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) website.
We have some tips on how to Save Fuel, Zero Emissions which you can use to get going on
some projects in your class perhaps and also share with your families.
Planting a tree or an acorn mini woodland is another great idea – we have a lovely video and
lesson plan from our friends in LEAF to help you. Trees = Clean Air
Competition time!
We have TWO competitions to help you get involved with Clean Air Week this year.
