The EEU of An Taisce is the national operator of a number of highly successful environmental education, sustainability and behaviour change programmes such as Green-Schools, Blue Flag, National Spring Clean, Clean Coasts and Climate Ambassador. The EEU of An Taisce works with a wide range of participant and supporters and sponsors to deliver these programmes.

An Taisce is now recruiting for a Full Time Climate Adaptation Officer

The post will be full-time for a period of two years.  The post will be located in the Dublin Region to develop and deliver a programme of transition-year workshops in the Dublin and Cork region in conjunction with the Climate Smart Team in Trinity College Dublin. The post will be full-time Monday – Friday but a degree of flexibility of working hours around evenings will be expected

Opportunity with Green Schools

  • Green Schools Marine Officer


The EEU of An Taisce is the national operator of a number of highly successful environmental education and management programmes such as Green-Schools, Blue Flag, National Spring Clean, Clean Coasts and Green Home. The Green-Schools programme operates on a national basis and encourages a sustainable ethos in schools on a variety of environmental themes. Over 93% of Irish schools are participating in the programme.

An Taisce is now recruiting for a 1 Part-Time Green-Schools Officer.

This is a remote work position. The role will involve delivery of the Global Citizenship Marine Environment theme within the Green-Schools programme. The post will be 20.25 hours per week but a degree of flexibility of working hours around evenings and weekends will be expected.

Opportunity with Safe Routes to Schools

  • SRTS Cycle Parking and Administration Officer


The Environmental Education Unit (EEU) of An Taisce is the national operator of a number of highly successful environmental education and management programmes such as Green-Schools, Blue Flag, National Spring Clean, Clean Coasts and Climate Ambassador. The Safe Routes to School programme was launched in March 2021 and focuses on the delivery of infrastructure to support active travel to school. The programme is funded by the Department of Transport and supported by the National Transport Authority (NTA).

An Taisce is now recruiting for a Cycle Parking and Administration Officer for Safe Routes to Schools.

The post will be full-time for a period of up to two years until January 2024 and further subject to funding. There will be a probationary period of 3 months. The post will be 32.75 hours per week but a degree of flexibility of working hours around evenings and weekends will be expected. This role is for a homeworker/remote worker who will be required to travel for meetings, audits, training, events etc.
