Young Reporters for the Environment Competition 2020
The Young Reporters for the Environment (YRE) Litter Less competition for 2020 is now open! We are inviting Green-Schools secondary schools to investigate and report on local litter and waste issues in your schools and communities and produce an article, video or photograph for the competition.
This year, the competition is linked to SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production. YRE are looking forward to seeing you report on solutions to issues such as food waste, fast fashion, single-use plastics and whatever you uncover yourselves! There is an overall competition prize fund of €1,500 available for the National winners, who will then go on to represent Ireland on the International stage. YRE is an ideal project for TY or junior cycle action projects.
For more information, useful lesson plans, video demonstrations and competition guidelines visit www.yreireland.org or contact Eoin at yre@eeu.antaisce.org / (01) 400 2202.
