Celebrating the Green-Schools Water Awards 2026

In May, we were delighted to celebrate students and schools from across Ireland at the Green-Schools Water Awards 2026 in Dublin, recognising the incredible work taking place to protect and conserve water.

Across our primary and secondary ceremonies, Green-Schools Committees and Water Ambassador Teams showcased inspiring projects focused on water conservation, biodiversity, local waterways and community action. From reducing water use and fixing leaks to creative awareness campaigns and hands-on environmental learning, students demonstrated outstanding leadership and innovation throughout the year.

We also celebrated the winners of the “Water and Me / Mise agus Uisce” Poster and Video Competitions, where students shared their personal connection to water through art, storytelling and film. The creativity and passion on display across both events was truly inspiring.

Congratulations to all of our winners, finalists and participating schools, and thank you to everyone who helped make the Water Awards 2026 such a memorable celebration.
