Green-Schools ‘Water and Me / Mise agus Uisce’ Poster and Video Competition 2025 is now closed.
Well done to everyone who entered our ‘Water and Me / Mise agus Uisce’ Poster and Video Competition this year! We received so many wonderful entries for the poster competition and some really inspiring ones for the video competition from across the country. The quality and creativity that came through in the submissions were just incredible, making the selection process very challenging.
We asked children and young people to reflect on the moments when water has mattered to them:
- times when it felt fun,
- times when it felt calming or refreshing,
- times when it helped them feel connected, adventurous or renewed,
- or memories that make water feel special in their own lives.
We were looking for artwork that expressed an individual relationship with water.
These were some of our prompt questions:
- When you think of water, what is the first memory or story that comes to your mind?
- How does water make you feel?
- What does water sound like to you?
- Do you have a favourite place with water (a beach, pool, river, lake, puddle…)?
- What plants, animals, people do you think of when thinking about water in nature?
- If water were a character, animal or mood, what would it be?
And the winners are…
