Ireland’s fourth Climate Action Week will run from October 12th to 18th, 2020, so please mark it in your school calendars now and download your poster, pledge and other resources below. If you host an Action Day during Climate Action Week, it will count towards your Green Flag application!

Entries will open from Monday 5th October until Friday 16th October and can be submitted on FacebookTwitter and Instagram by tagging Climate Ambassador, using the hashtag #ClimateActionWeek or simply by sending your entry via email to CAW@eeu.antaisce.org

The sooner you enter the more likely you’ll win some delicious vegan cupcakes from Buttercream Dream! Deliveries will be sent out every day during #ClimateActionWeek from Monday 12th to Friday 16th October.

 

Secondary Climate Action Event

Green-Schools is hosting a free virtual screening of the inspiring documentary ‘2040’ – a must see for all secondary students interested in current climate solutions. Register your class for this free event here and watch it any time from 9am Monday 12th to 11am Wednesday 14th October. We have also organised a follow-up Climate Activist webinar with student Climate Ambassadors which will take place just after the screening at 11am on Wednesday 14th October.

 

Primary Climate Action Event

Green-Schools is delighted to present our debut storybook, ‘We Want Our Park Back’, written and illustrated by Oisín McGann for ages 5 to 8. Register for this free event here and we will post your school a giant book. Tune in to Green-Schools HQ via your interactive whiteboard at 10am on Tuesday 13th October for Storytime, Ask the Author, Draw with Oisín and a special student-centred book review. Submit any questions from your class for the author/illustrator before October 1st to: CAW@eeu.antaisce.org
