Our Race Around Ireland

Green-Schools have begun our race around Ireland!

To celebrate our 25th Anniversary, we are putting together a time capsule of hopes and wishes for the next 25 years.

We have chosen 25 schools around the country for their dedication to the Green-Schools programme, as well as for time served, and have asked them, ‘What are your hopes and wishes for the next 25 year?’

These schools have created a poster with their ideas and will place them in our #25for25 travelling time capsule when it reaches them, then passing it on to the next school on the list. This must be done via some form of sustainable travel.

The time capsule must arrive back in Dublin by the 24th of May – so it really is a race! We will then plant a tree for Biodiversity Week and bury the time capsule near it so we know where to find it!

First stop on the Race Around Ireland is Colaiste Iosagain in Stillorgan, Dublin. Eleanor and Lúsaí created their poster in Irish of their hopes for the future.

#2 – St Joseph’s NS in Arklow created a beautiful poster with all of their input.
