Green-Schools Marine Spatial Planning Photography Competition 2025
My Sea, My Story
We are excited to launch the Green-Schools Marine Spatial Planning Photography Competition 2025! This competition invites students across Ireland to share their vision for the future of our oceans and marine environments.
Open to secondary schools and youth groups working on the Global Citizenship Marine Environment theme in the 2025–2026 academic year, as well as those who have already achieved their Marine Flag, the competition provides a chance for young people to showcase their creativity and connection to the sea.
Under the theme “My Sea, My Story”, we’re asking individual students to submit photographs that reflect their hopes for our seas. Capture your personal connection to the ocean—whether it’s celebrating life along the coast, exploring our rivers, or highlighting the plants and animals that depend on these waters. Think about how our ocean is used today, and how it could be cared for and shared in the future. Whether you live inland or by the sea, we want to see what the ocean means to you!
Deadline for entries: Friday, 14th November 2025
There are some fantastic prizes up for grabs, including:
- A €200 One4All voucher
- The winning photograph professionally framed
- €500 for the winner’s Green-Schools Committee
- And more!
Entries must be emailed to marine@greenschoolsireland.org, with the subject line “Photo Competition”. Please include an entry form in your email. Check out our photography tips and find the competition terms and conditions here
