World Wetlands Day Webinar- Winter Migration

Green-Schools and Clean Coasts are delighted to celebrate World Wetlands Day with this webinar, with guest speaker Alena Kunkel from Breeding Waders EIP. Learn about some of the birds who spend winter in Ireland, their migration journey and the importance of conserving their winter and summer homes.

Suitable for Secondary School Students and Senior Primary (5th and 6th)

World Wetlands Day Competition

To be in with a chance for your class to win a prize back, including lots of goodies supplied by our friends from Breeding Waders EIP, plus a clean up kit from clean coasts, send us a picture that shows you doing one of the following:

 

  1. Go on a visit to your local wetlands (this can be with your class or you family)
  2. Organise a clean up in your school or community.  You can even register your school as a clean coasts group and take part in regular clean ups!
  3. Try your hand at the Wader Bird Calls resource sheet or the Wader Bird Spotter Sheet

 

You can either email your entries to bioevents@eeu.antaisce.org or tag us on Instagram @greenschoolsire @cleancoasts using #worldwetlandsday Be sure to get your entries in by Monday, Feb 23rd.
