Global Goal 5: Gender Equality
Global Goal 5 is explored in our Global Goals Book Club through the book ‘Razia’s Ray of Hope’ by Elizabeth Suneby. This inspiring story follows Razia, a young girl in Afghanistan who dreams of going to school despite societal challenges. Through Razia’s journey, children can learn about the importance of education fo girls and the broader issue of gender equality. The book highlights the barriers that prevent girls from accessing education and the power of learning. By discussing Razia’s story and taking part in the related activities, we aim to empower your classroom to advocate for equal opportunities for all genders and understand the significance of gender equality in creating a fair and just society.
