Seakeepers Project, Lahinch Beach

Limerick School Project SeaKeepers explore the rocky shore at Lahinch!

1st class at Limerick School Project were the lucky winners of this year’s SeaKeepers Project and Green-Schools Marine team were delighted to welcome them to Lahinch beach in Co. Clare last week for their prize of a free SeaKeepers Beach Exploration Workshop!

Twenty-four girls and boys took part in rocky seashore exploration, a marine litter relay race, a sandcastle competition, seaweed tasting and lots more fun and games! Not to mention, some delicious 99’s in the sunshine, to finish off the day 😊 A huge well done to Limerick School Project, and all the schools who took part in the SeaKeepers Project this year.

The SeaKeepers Project provides primary schools with exclusive resources and lesson plans to learn about our native marine biodiversity. If your school is working towards the Marine Flag next year or has already been awarded Marine, you can find out more about the project and how to sign up at
