Marine Spatial Planning Poster Competition 2026

We are delighted to announce the launch of the Green-Schools Marine Spatial Planning Poster Competition 2026. Let your imagination make some waves and enter our “Sea Change Starts Here” poster competition! Create a bright, bold and creative poster showing how we can protect our oceans and make a positive change. If you love drawing and coming up with big ideas, we want to see your vision!

Get creative and think about your local river connection, coastal communities and ocean currents. What do you wish for our seas in the years ahead? Will they be places of fun and adventure, with more swimming, surfing, and paddleboarding? Could their story be one of clean energy, with waves and wind powering our communities? Should our focus be on stronger protection for Ireland’s ocean giants like the fin whale? Or our rockpools with their weird and wonderful wildlife? From pristine beaches and protected areas, to busy harbours carrying goods from around the world, we want to see your visions for the blue future.

So grab your pencils, paints or pens and show us how sea change starts here!

This poster competition is open to primary and secondary schools working on the Global Citizenship Marine Environment theme in the 2025 – 2026 academic year, as well as those who have already achieved their Marine flag.
