Marine Spatial Planning Poster Competition 2025

Green-Schools Marine Spatial Planning

Every Sea Tells a Story

Poster Competition 2025

We are delighted to announce the launch of the Green-Schools Marine Spatial Planning Poster Competition 2025! This year’s theme, “Every sea tells a story,” invites students across Ireland to share how they imagine the future of our oceans and marine environments.

Every wave, tide, and shoreline carries its own story – and now it’s your turn to tell one.

What story do you want our seas to tell in the years ahead? Will they be places of fun and adventure, with more swimming, kayaking, and paddleboarding? Could their story be one of clean energy, with waves and wind powering our communities? Should the tale focus on stronger protection for Ireland’s incredible marine biodiversity? Or perhaps it’s about fishing – whether through larger boats, or smaller, more sustainable practices. From vibrant coastal communities to safe havens for marine wildlife, from innovative ideas to tackle marine litter to visions for the blue future – we want to see the story you believe our seas should tell.

This poster competition is open to primary and secondary schools working on the Global Citizenship Marine Environment theme in the 2025 – 2026 academic year, as well as those who have already achieved their Marine flag.
