Ready to turn learning into action? The Green-Schools Water Action Cards help Green-Schools committees explore practical ideas and choose actions that are right for their school.

Each card features a different water action, with wins to show why it’s good for your group and the Water theme, plus tips and resources to help with learning and planning. Cards are grouped into Everyday Water, Hidden Water and Wild Water, so you can focus on the themes that interest your committee.

The cards are available in print and virtual formats, but we encourage schools to print them out and use them together as a committee.

How to use the cards

• Browse the cards individually or in groups.
• Pick a card at random or choose one that catches your eye.
• Share why you like—or don’t like—the action.
• Discuss which actions might appeal to different people in your school, such as active, creative or social students.
• Consider which actions link to your Environmental Review findings.
• Pick your actions and get started!
