Climate Action Week 2018
Green-Schools are delighted to present Ireland’s second #ClimateActionWeek! 2017 was hit by Storm Ophelia but that didn’t dampen your spirits as Green-Schools around Ireland held a whopping 137 events despite school closures. We’re hoping for even more Climate Action this year!
Are you planning your Green-Schools Day of Action? Host a Climate Action Day in your school during Climate Action Week from October 15– 19 and it will count as your Day of Action for your Green Flag Application!
Climate Change is central to every Green-Schools theme and present in nearly every aspect of Ireland’s curricula, primary and secondary, as well as vitally important in all of our futures; so there’s really no reason not to get involved! If you are already doing something for Maths Week, why not make it all about Climate Change – there are so many opportunities from learning about temperature, rainfall, geographical regions and using lots of graphs and charts along the way.
