Earth Day Clean Up 2024

In 2024, our fellow Environmental Education Unit programme, National Spring Clean, are celebrating their 25th birthday!

National Spring Clean is the biggest and longest-running anti-litter campaign in Ireland, established in 1999. Did you know that over the past 25 years, volunteers who joined the campaign removed an estimated 47,500 tonnes of litter collected? That’s approximately the weight of 450 blue whales!

WANT TO JOIN THE CELEBRATIONS?

To mark the celebrations, we want to ensure that the 2024 campaign is the biggest and most impactful yet. To support this ambition, Green-Schools and Clean Coasts are teaming up with National Spring Clean, to host flagship Earth Day clean ups on the week starting April 22nd. Any school that registers will receive a clean-up kit.

BE A PART OF SOMETHING BIGGER

Why not register to be a part of a global movement? Green-Schools’ parent organisation, FEE (Foundation for Environmental Education) want you to be part of a Global Action Day, so why not register your National Spring Clean for Earth Day? Join the global movement!

So, if you haven’t signed up, make sure you do so before all our clean-up kits are gone! And, if your school has already signed up for #SpringClean24, but you haven’t picked a date yet, why not choose a date between 22nd and 26th April?

Don’t forget to tag us in your photos – we can’t wait to see your great work this Earth Day!
