Vacancy: Green-Schools Research and Development Officer
The Envrironmental Education Unit (EEU) of An Taisce is the national operator of a number of highly successful environmental education and management programmes such as Green-Schools, Blue Flag, National Spring Clean, Clean Coasts and Neat Streets.
- The Green-Schools programme encompasses the core themes within Green-Schools and promotes long-term, whole-school action for the environment. Green-Schools is a student-led programme with involvement from the wider community. The programme is operated and co-ordinated by the Environmental Education Unit of An Taisce (FEE member for Ireland) and operated in partnership with Local Authorities and supported by the Department of Housing, Planning, & Local Government; Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment; Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport; The Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht; Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade; Irish Aid, National Transport Authority; National Parks and Wildlife Service, Irish Water and the Wrigley Company Limited.
