Scoot to School Week 2020
Scoot to School Week will run from March 9th to 13th, 2020 and National SOW Day (Scoot on Wednesdays/Weekdays) will be held on Wednesday March 11th.
Green-Schools would like to invite all primary schools currently on Travel and Global Citizenship Travel to participate in National Scoot to School Week. Schools who have already been awarded the Travel flag are also welcome to participate in the initiative and are invited to enter. Letters and a colour poster has been posted out to all current Travel and GC Travel schools but you can download a poster and social media tiles here to help promote National Scoot to School Week/National SOW Day to your school network.
By participating in National Scoot to School Week and National SOW Day you will be showing your support for a greener, healthier environment by simply encouraging students to scoot to school. This year we are offering schools that participate during the week a chance to have scooter parking installed in your school for free.
Remember to keep a record of how many people scooted to school on National SOW Day: Simply complete and submit the entry form to ensure that your numbers are included in the count and to be in with a chance of winning scooter parking for your school. Entries can be posted to the Green-Schools Office or submitted by email to travelevents@eeu.antaisce.org
Please contact the Green-Schools Travel Team on 01-4002202 or your local Green-Schools Travel Officer with any enquiries. Don’t forget to share your photos and news with us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter (@GreenSchoolsIre), using #ScootToSchool.
