Our annual scooting-to-school celebration is back! Now in its third year, National Scoot to School Week takes place from March 20th to 24th with the main event, National S.O.W. Day (Scoot on Wednesdays / Weekdays), on March 22nd. We’re asking students to jump aboard their scooters to enjoy the benefits of fresh air and activity on the journey to and from school.

Schools who are working toward their Green Flag for Travel or have already been awarded the flag will be hosting colourful scooting events and encouraging children to scoot to school throughout the week.

Scooting is a great way to make the journey to school active, sustainable, and fun. Scooting to school is on the rise among students in Ireland and in 2014 we launched our first national event to mark this: National S.O.W Day, which grew to a week-long event in 2015. Over the past three years thousands students have scooted to school on National S.O.W. Day.
