Green-Schools Bike Week 2017

June 10, 2017 - June 18, 2017

National Bike Week returns from Saturday, June 10 to Sunday June 18, 2017. Schools will be celebrating Bike Week from Monday 12th – Friday 16th. Bike Week is an annual celebration of all that’s great about bikes and cycling. Bike Week is held each year with bike themed events organised by local authorities, community groups and cycling groups throughout Ireland. Check out a list of events happening on the Bike Week website.

National COW Day!

Wednesday June 14 is Green-Schools National COW Day. COW (Cycle On Wednesday/Weekdays) is an initiative developed by Green-Schools celebrating the fun you can have cycling to school on Wednesdays, on weekdays or whenever you can! This year we hope that as many students, parents and teachers cycle to school as possible. Our Green-Schools Travel Officers will be out in force during the week, visiting schools to offer bike workshops, cycle skills training and much more.

By cycling to school on Green-Schools’ National COW Day you will be helping us to reach our target of 5,000 people cycling to school all over Ireland – let us know how many people cycled to your school on June 14 by emailing travelevents@eeu.antaisce.org, texting 086 031 1412 or posting your numbers back to us.
