Climate Action Week Secondary – 2040 Screening
Join us for a #ClimateActionWeek screening of the award-winning climate documentary 2040!
Green-Schools are delighted to present our #ClimateActionWeek event for secondary students!
If you are a secondary teacher, register for your free screening ticket now and watch ‘2040’ with your class any time from 9am Monday 12th October to 11am Wednesday 14th October.
After the screening we’ll be hosting a student-led Climate Activist webinar to discuss the film at 11am on Wednesday 14th October.
Now, more than ever, we need positive voices in the ecological crisis. Join us to see director Damon Gameau’s ‘exercise in fact-based dreaming’, 2040. Using only the solutions that are available to us today, Damon envisions a positive future for our planet.
The film takes a solutions-based approach to how we can, using the technology we already have, mitigate the enormous global issues we currently face. The main themes/solutions looked at in the film are around: empowerment of women and girls; marine regeneration; regenerative agriculture; renewable energy; and circular economy. It’s a story of hope, and a powerful tool to encourage people to take action. You can watch the trailer here.
You will be sent a link to watch the film via email.
In registering for a ticket you are agreeing to be contacted by Ireland’s #ClimateActionWeek organisers and the 2040 campaign in order to receive your viewing link and about any issues surrounding the screening.
